14 cups of water sounds like a lot. Can you confirm that this is correct?
It is correct, but I would add it slowly. If you like a stronger taste you may not want as much.
Would this fit in a pint size jar?
I think you could do a pint size version of it. It would probably need the amount in each jar cut in 1/2. Maybe a little less than 1/2, but it could work for sure!
I made this in a 16” frosting bag. I added a little more noodles and it fits perfect!
BRILLIANT twist! I took your idea and gave these cones out at Christmastime, and everyone loved them! Cute design and no jar to break or return! Thank you for mentioning this!
Have you tried with dehydrated veggies?
Hi Terry,
Thank you for your question! I have never made the jars with dehydrated veggies but I have used them in the soup. It worked well. So I think it would also work to add them into the jar if you wanted to do that. It would just be a slightly less chunky soup because dehydrated veggies tend to be chopped a bit smaller. You will also want to check with your brand of veggies to accommodate for rehydrating them in the soup.
How many does this serve?
this soup is soooo good. I usually use chicken broth instead of water. But, my first time I used water and it was still good. My husband likes me to cook it longer, he says that there’s more flavor.
I am so glad you like it!
I was wondering if I could add dehydrated veggies to the jar and just let them cook with the pasta?
You sure can! You just need to adjust the amount of water you put in when cooking it because the water will soak into the veggies and your soup will not be as thin.
